Financial Services wins at the Card Awards 2012
Financial Services won the Best Technology Initiative of the Year award at the 2012 Card and Payment Awards for a joint initiative with Vanquis Bank, the Vanquis Instant Credit Programme.
Colleagues from financial services and IS carried off the Best Technology Initiative award at a special ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane.
The joint development with Vanquis Bank was recognised as the first development of its kind in the UK, offering argos.co.uk customers, who wouldn't be able to apply for an Argos storecard online, a chance to seamlessly shop at Argos utilising the great credit deals currently offered to Argos storecard customers.
The technological complexity required for the project and subsequent implementation by our IS colleagues was considered truly innovative by the judges.
