Homebase launches Garden Living Club

Following a successful trial of the Garden Living Club, which commenced in Spring 2006, Homebase is rolling-out the loyalty scheme nationally.

Initially promoted through Spend and Save customer mailings the national roll-out means customers can now join in store or via the Homebase website. POS in the form of ‘bus stop’ stands and applications forms in store, as well as, Ideas magazine outline the benefits of membership. The free membership to the Garden Living Club is open to all Spend and Save customers, if customers are not already members they can join both at the same time.

The seasonal magazine provides ideas, hints and tips and expert advice on design and planting. The club members will be offered discounts on Homebase product ranges and concessions on gardening events like Hampton Court and will also receive details on new garden products. Fidel Canning, customer manager for Spend and Save said: “The trial gave us an opportunity to perfect the look and feel of the offer, and we have been delighted with the response from customers. Those joining so far range from 30 to 70 years upwards, from more established gardeners to those interested in outdoor living and entertaining”.
