Lloyds TSB Insurance wins new account with ARG

Lloyds TSB Insurance has won the tender to supply home and motor insurance to the customers of Argos Retail Group Financial Services following a competitive tender. The move is part of an expansion by Lloyds TSB Insurance into the corporate partnerships market to offer its products and services through well known high street brands.

The initiative will mean that customers of Argos and Homebase will be able to apply for insurance cover over the telephone and via the internet. Lloyds TSB Insurance linked with its strategic partners Heath Lambert to establish the deal, making Argos Retail Group the insurer’s first retail partner.

In winning this tender, Lloyds TSB Insurance has further strengthened its leadership position in the home insurance market and in adding such a significant brand portfolio has extended its distribution of the product in the retail sector.

Phil Loney, managing director, Lloyds TSB Insurance, said: “We are delighted to be appointed as the home and motor insurance provider for Argos Retail Group. Through this new partnership, we’re bringing all the benefits of Lloyds TSB Insurance products and service to Argos and Homebase customers.”
