Argos launches Christmas Gift Guide with Top 10 Toy Predictions

The Argos Christmas Gift Guide is out today. Bursting with over 2,000 specially selected gifts for the festive season, the best ever Argos Gift Guide includes new and exclusive products not available in the main catalogue and the latest must-have toys.
Argos, the UK’s No.1 toy retailer, is predicting Transformers action figures, In the Night Garden characters and i-TeDDy as the toys most likely to be at the top of children’s Christmas wish lists this year.

The Argos 2007 Christmas toy list reflects the trend of an increasingly tech-savvy generation of children attracted to interactive toys, as well as the rising popularity of this year’s movie blockbusters and hit television shows.
The top toy for 2007 is predicted to be the latest robotic must-have from this summer’s hit Transformers film. Movie Ultimate Bumblebee transforms into a car, using advanced animatronics for realistic robot play, alongside lights and sound to bring the action to life.
One of the most popular characters from the new CBeebies television show, In the Night Garden, is tipped to be the hot favourite for the under-fives. The cuddly Blanket Time Igglepiggle features songs, sounds and speech from the show, including the voice of Sir Derek Jacobi.
For children aged three years and upwards, the innovative i-TeDDy – as seen on BBC’s Dragon’s Den - is expected to be a big hit. Billed as the teddy bear for the 21st century, the toy combines the timeless appeal of a classic teddy bear with a built-in personal media player for bedtime stories, movies, music, games and more.
The list also includes last year’s favourite toy collection Dr Who, which promises to make a huge impact for a second season with the Dr Who Dalek Sec Hybrid Voice FX; a mask with voice-changing capabilities, speech and sound effects.

Along with 1,200 new price cuts, Argos is offering a £5 gift card for customers spending over £50 and a £10 gift card when spending over £100 until 30 October.
